Description

The cycle “Natives / Tourists” presents selected fragments from the “New Documentaries” photographic project, undertaken since 2007. The author’s viewpoint analyses the observation of people submerged in the urban agglomerations through the conceptual use of the medium of photography. Showing the big-town crowd through individuals serves to draw attention to the universal virtues of modern people. The large-format colour photographs present human activities in situations of goods consumption as well as the constant movement in search of such goods. The idea for the project relates to the social space created and used by its subjects and is connected to aspects of social and cultural identity in the era of migration and globalisation.
